Bluetooth won't turn on

Scott Jun 19, 2014 06:17PM PDT

The Bluetooth function won't turn on on my G-Pop. The white aux light stays on even when the switch is turned to the bluetooth setting. I even let the battery drain completely and charged it to see if that would reset the settings to no avail. Is there any way to completely reset it?

Hi Scott!

I'm sorry to hear you are having a problem with the Bluetooth on your G-POP. Most of these pairing issues are a result of swapping Bluetooth sources before terminating the current connection. This sometimes causes G-POP to remain connected or paired to the previous audio device. That said, it sounds like the Bluetooth needs to be reset on your G-POP, as well as on your audio streaming device(s).

• To clear the Bluetooth memory on G-POP, press and hold the Pairing button for 5 seconds. This will clear all Bluetooth settings on the G-POP

• Next you will want to go into the Bluetooth settings menu on your audio streaming device(s) and clear / 'forget this device' from the list (and any other devices you may have connected to G-POP previously).

• Now power on G-POP and try searching for Bluetooth compatible devices with your audio streaming device(s). After a few seconds it should detect G-POP, at which time you can select G-POP and establish a new connection.

Please let me know if this solution helps. Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are experiencing a connectivity issue with your speaker Mike. I would be happy to help troubleshoot the issue with you. Can you please confirm what model G-Project speaker you have?

Can you also please tell me what color LED lights are illuminated when you power the speaker on? And are they solid status of blinking?

FYI, I tried all the listed solutions and was still unable to connect to the speaker. I was able to exchange the speaker at Target. The white light was constant, but the blue light would not come on at all, solid or blinking.

I am currently having the same problem. I've tried the 5 second pair reset and letting the battery die many times, I've still been unsuccessful, is there anything else I can do?
