Unable to connect to G-Pop

Joe Nov 29, 2014 05:51PM PST

I've had my G-Pop for over a year now. Rave about it whenever I am able to. Recently, though, when I turn the bluetooth on, the bluetooth light does not come on and from the foggy mist only the "white power light" can be seen. I've tried troubleshooting by holding the "pair" button for 5 seconds, Eternal-Sunshine-of-a-Spotless-Mind-ing my phone from ever knowing it loved the G-Pop, and scanned the aether to find it again. The only result of this action is my phone screaming in agony, "Unable to communicate with G-Pop". The cry carries with it an emotional weight. I can feel the tears. Perhaps those are mine...

Hi Joe!

Sorry to hear you are having a connectivity problem with you G-POP. It sounds like it could be a bad circuit board or battery connection. If you can send us a direct email I will be happy to open a ticket and see if we can get it exchanged for you. The reason I am asking you to send a direct email rather then continuing the process here is that we will need your contact info and we prefer that is not posted here in a public thread.

Hi Trez!

It could be that you need to reset the Bluetooth on both your G-POP as well as your Bluetooth compatible device. I have provided the steps below to do this:

• To clear the Bluetooth memory on the G-GO, press and hold the Pairing button for 5 seconds. This will clear all Bluetooth settings and the blue LED light on the front of the unit should start flashing, indicating that G-GO is searching for a compatible Bluetooth device.

• Next you will want to go into the Bluetooth settings menu on your audio streaming device (and any other devices you may have connected to the G-GO previously) and delete / 'forget this device' from the list completely.

• Now with G-GO powered on, try searching for Bluetooth compatible devices under the Bluetooth settings menu of your audio streaming device. After a few seconds it should detect G-GO, at which time you can select G-GO and establish a new connection.

Please let me know if this solution helps.
