g-boom usb port inop

todd Jun 08, 2014 06:14AM PDT

Hello, I purchased my g-boom from target. every thing seemed fine until I went to charge my iphone. the usb port will not charge. so I returned it. and bought another one. well same thing is happening. so I have a half dozen cables. not the problem. I have 2 different phones, iphone 4s and a iphone 5. same problem. with different cables. which work fine everywhere else. I like the speaker but I feel cheated out of a charging device for my phone.

Hi Todd!

Sorry to hear you are having a problem with the USB charging port on your G-BOOM. The USB output is designed to charge most USB devices while G-BOOM remains connected to a power source via the supplied AC power adapter. Unfortunately, to maximize battery life and playback time, the charging feature will not charge devices while G-BOOM is in portable mode and operating off the battery.
