Shut off time

First I love The G-Boom. Got lucky and found on sale at Target. Not as portable as some but still not too bulky to take places. More importantly the sound especially bass is superior vs. some much more expensive units.
How long is it supposed to stay connected through bluetooth? Is there a way to keep it from powering down when not in use? Thanks in advance.

Hi Patrick!

Thanks for the email and we are happy to hear how excited you are with your G-BOOM. It is a great speaker!

Typically G-BOOM will power down after about 20-30 minutes from the last audio played to save power. If you prefer to have it on for extended periods even when not in use, you can try leaving the music/audio stream playing but turn the volume all the way down on the source. This should keep the connection live until you are ready to turn the volume back up.

The above option is recommended if you were using the AC adapter to power G-BOOM. If you were using battery power, G-BOOM battery would eventually run out of power and the unit would completely turn off until recharged.

Hope this helps to answer your question,

Hi Paul,
Not sure what you are asking about the USB? The USB on the back of the G-BOOM is an INPUT port that allows you to connect a USB audio device and play music through the G-BOOM if you do not have a Bluetooth streaming device.

The USB is not an OUTPUT port and therefore will not charge a device when connected.

Hope this help to answer your question.

Hi Desmond,

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off the power save mode. This auto shut off feature is actually a mandatory feature that's required by regulations for power savings. It is there to conserve the battery life.
